BIG POINTY TEETHS: Also, just saying?

squeedge:

Digital art is more environmentally friendly. That does not mean I think it’s superior to traditional art on skill-level or anything, but it’s a huge PRO for someone like me who tries really hard to be environmentally conscious.

Most traditional artists I know go through paper like it was…

I find it really hard to say any medium is better than the other. I just love art, in all of its forms. I use both traditional and digital media to make pieces, and I put an equal amount of effort into both of them, truth be told.

The fact digital art is green, though, really made me kind of want to switch over to it. OF COURSE, I wouldn’t completely abandon traditional media, in fact doing quick ideas on the computer might give me a better idea of what I could do traditionally, instead of floundering about in my sketchbooks and wasting paper.

My only issue right now is that I’ve kind of grown tired of using my mouse. Words cannot describe how tedious, and often painful, a task it is to use a mouse. So, I often sketch traditionally and do the rest on my computer, at least now-a-days.

Uh…

bottom line: I find it excruciatingly stupid that other traditional artists (I’m still primarily a traditional artist, so yeh) hate on digital artists.

And, honestly? I think it stems from bitter jealousy/envy. I know that’s how I was for a brief amount of time, when I got outshined by digital artists… of course, I was also young and not as… well, skilled back then, so my art wasn’t even really all that great to look at.

But yeah, I figure that’s what’s going on. I could be wrong, though. [shrug]
